In pics: First look of Bangalore's much-awaited Namma Metro

Bangalore: The Bangalore Metro Rail Corporation Limited (BMRCL) gave the media a sneak-peek into much awaited Namma Metro. Stopping at five stations, the ride helps you travel above one of the most congested parts of the city with a token ticket that costs just Rs 15.
Namma Metro will eventually have 6-car trains but to begin with, 3-car trains will ply carrying about 1,000 people.
 
The Bangalore Metro Rail Corporation (BMRCL) revealed the chic look the Mahatma Gandhi station showing its readiness for commercial operations.

Automatic fare collecting (AFC) gates where the tokens are to be used.
 

The metallic interiors give an international feel.
 

The Namma Metro is expected to be Bangalore’s pride.
 

This place will soon be chock-a-block with rushing metro users.
 
Tactile flooring for the visually challenged, which is rough and specified, leads to ticket counters on the right and left of the entrance.
