The moment a man wearing a Yankee cap
fired a bullet that killed a 23-year-old woman outside a Brooklyn
bodega has been captured on surveillance video.
Two others were wounded in the shooting outside the Bed-Stuy Supermarket, including a 13-year-old boy who was blasted once in the arm.
Footage from outside the store shows two women and four men starting to walk down a street and out of camera range, just before the man in the Yankee cap approaches and momentarily talks to the crowd.
As two of the men run away, the man
in the cap, wearing jeans and a long-sleeved white shirt, starts firing,
with a visible spark flying out of the weapon.
The video shows the killer running away and out of the frame.
The dead woman, whose name was not immediately released, had just bought a sandwich, some chips and a Dr. Pepper at the store.
She was dead on arrival at Woodhull Hospital, police said.
The wounded boy and a 21-year-old man who was shot in the back were in stable condition at Brookdale University Hospital, the New York Daily News reports.
A deli worker said: 'He takes the gun out and starts shooting.'
No arrests have been made, police said.
Witnesses heard about nine shots before they saw the three people on the ground.
Video was released on Friday of a separate incident in Brooklyn, in which an innocent woman was shot dead and two officers were wounded on Labour Day.
Police say they are not sure who fired the bullet that killed a woman outside her home in Crown Heights during a shootout between officers and an ex-con.
The video shows Eusi Johnson, 29, and his cousin running down the steps of the home of Leroy Webster, 32.
Webster follows them initially, then
can be seen on camera going back into his home to get a gun, and comes
out firing, authorities said.
Johnson is fatally struck in the neck, and Webster shoots at officers, who fire back at him.
Neighbor Denise Gay, 56, is tragically hit in the head by a stray bullet, the New York Post reports.
One of the officers who fired a Glock was Officer Avichaim Dicken, 29, who suffered a graze wound in the firefight.
He fired 10 rounds, authorities said.
The other officer who was using a Glock during the firefight has not been identified.
The second officer injured in the incident, Omar Medina, 35, fired a total of 16 rounds from his Smith & Wesson pistol.
Mr Medina was hit in the face and leg by bullet fragments.
